OAHU-Wiliwilinui Ridge Trail

Somehow it took 52 years for me to visit Hawaii.

This trip was entirely impulsive- the decision to go, and the decisions made along the way.

“Why are you here?” I thought to myself as I realized I had poorly planned my hike along the beautiful, breathtaking, and terrifying ridgeline. The journey along Oahu's Wiliwilinui Ridge Trail was made more dramatic due to the extreme winds that I later learned were stoking the devastating fires on Maui. I’m grateful for the experience and the dense ferns that saved my life. It was a true test of physical skill and mental strength, I regret only that I can’t share the images etched into my memories.

I lived to to tell the tale. Afterward, moments of profound reflection emerged, seamlessly blending a passion for nature with philosophical musings. The trail, akin to life's path, revealed twists and turns, reinforcing the interconnected beauty of design, time in nature, and the pursuit of inner peace.
